Welcome back to Our Grade 5 Blog!
Dear Grade 5 Students,
We know that it has been a very long time since Winter Vacation began. It is highly likely that over the break, you completely forgot about our new Literacy Blog.
Have no fear, this week we will remind you about the blog and ask you to re-test using it before we get into our homework routines moving forward for the rest of the year.
This week's task is fairly simple.
Write about your vacation.
Here are some questions to help you focus your writing:
-What did you do?
-Did you travel anywhere? If so, where?
-Did you spend time with family?
-What did you do?
-Did you have any special celebrations or meals?
-What was your favorite part of the holiday?
-What are you most looking forward to now that you're back at school?
Please remember blog format expectations. Start with a greeting (for example: Dear All,), write in complete sentences (minimum of 5), no texting SMS acronyms or codes, and end with a closing and sign off (like you'll see below).
We can not wait to hear all about your vacations.

ReplyDeleteI didn't travel anywhere I preferred to stay home and play with my friends.I spend more time with my family and my friends.I did lots of things I got to shymbulak,I played with my friends,I went to the cinema.
I hade cake it is not very traditional meal but every eats eat on christmas.My favorite part of the holiday is when Mom bought me a computer and when we shouted fireworks.Im glad that I'm back to school I missed my friends,PE and ICT.

ReplyDeleteDear all, 5A and 5B, my Winter Vacation was very interesting! Firstly I went to Singapore for two days. There we went to “Universal studios” park, after that we went to watch night safari.
ReplyDeleteAfter that we set on a plane and went to an island called Barneo for a week. There we wore so many things that me and my family did! We swam with Indian ocean fishes, watched monkeys, went to their tribes but, they weren't real. Also we went to Kuala-Lumpur . There we went to the famous twin towers, but my favorite was our hotel in Kuala-Lumpur it was fifty three floors!
Furthermore I am looking forward for exhibition.

Dear Grade 5 students, my Winter Vacation was fun but I fell ill i didn't travel anywhere( Yes of course I spend time with my family and my favorite part of holiday was when my Mom - Santa Claus gave me a plaid which looks like a hare and i like it. And i like my present from Parents - Santa Claus.

Dear My Fellow Learners,
ReplyDeleteIt has been a very long, well earned vacation, but now, we are back at school. Generally, I really like learning and am excited and thrilled to be back in a classroom, although, I have other mixed feelings to.
Over the past three weeks, me and my family traveled to Thailand, and learned a lot about its history. One of my favorite activity was going on a boat tour of an island called Phuket. Phuket has lots of snorkeling stops and traditional Thai food. It also has a very big rock called the James Bond Island because one of the James Bond movies were filmed there.
We were in Bangkok over the New Years Eve and it was so crazy! That night, we watched the new Star Wars and then tried to walk a block to get back to our hotel. It took us forty minutes! We managed to watch the firework show, but after, the crowd was hectic!
I am looking forward to ski school and learning how to ski. This is my first time living in a place where it snows. Are you excited?

In my vacation,I mainly rested at home because I was tired. On the 2nd week I went to Xander’s house and had a sleepover. Then I went home.After that (1 day later)I went to Alara’s house. Then,for the final thing,I went to Jungle Park which is located in Atakent Mall. As a bonus we went to VR Rift which is a place where there are games which are in VR.Over all,I had an amazing weekend,and I hope you did also!
-Did you travel anywhere?If so,where?
On my vacation,I did not travel anywhere. I stayed in Almaty.
-Did you spend time with your family?
On my vacation,I did spend time with my family in a way. My dad called from Izmir. He went there because he needed to work. I mostly stayed at home with my mom. I guess I did spend time with my family.
-What did you do?
On my vacation,I played games with my mom and talked with my dad. We couldn’t spend that much time because my mom was also working.
-Did you have any special celebrations or meals?
I think everyone had a special celebration. Christmas or New year!
-What was your favourite part of your holiday?
It was when I had a sleepover with Xander.
-What are you most looking forward to now that you’re back at school?
I am looking forward to having PE and Rose and Thorn reflection.

ReplyDeleteOn my vacation I had lots of fun. I did not fly anywhere, but sometimes I went to my friends house. Of course I spend most of my time with my family. Lots of y time I was playing games outside. Me and my family was celebrated New Year, it was fun. My favorite part was that on New Year I had air pods. Now i am looking forward ketch up in school.

ReplyDeleteOn this vacation I did go on 2 movies STAR WARS Episode 9 Rise of Skywalker & Camouflage and Espionage. I did not travel anywhere instead I stayed in Almaty and it was sad. On this vacation, I spend a lot of time with family. We celebrated New Year and I got many presents. We each year we turn on the television and it has a clock and we count form 12 or 10 -1 and then the new year begins and we also allowed to open presents. My favorite part of the holiday was to go skiing to Akbulak and riding form a slide on tuding cheesecake! I'm looking forward after I am back at school to be okay to have enough to do my homework while after I go skiing at Shymbulak.

ReplyDeleteon holidays I was happy and joyful. I was with my family in Singapore, in Singapore we having fun,were procured. Also we were in very cool restaurants,
where deliciously fed.What I liked most about Singapore is that there are very well-educated people. And we came to school on the eighth of January

ReplyDeleteOn this holidays i was in Tashkent.I had a good time:I was at the cinema with my sisters, held a rabbit in my hands, ate some sweets, ate a bunch of ice cream and accidentally stepped on a snail. But I spent most of my time with my relatives. We celebrated the New Year together and had a great time.It was an amaising holidays!

I went to Thailand with a friend named sophie (I think that is how you spell her name) ,and we went swimming at the beach and a big swimming pool we ate some mexcican food and the most fun thing that we did was ziplining, it was sooo cool, there was a 400 meter one and they made me go in a superman pose going down.
-Did you travel anywhere? If so, where?
I did go somewhere. I went to thailand and it is amazing there.
-Did you spend time with family?
Yes i went to thailand I spent Christmas with my family, and here's a fun little story our we thought our dad was going to move to another country for work but he ended up not even going at all so yay. Then I stayed up till midnight with my sister because it was new year and my parents can’t stay up that long and we saw fireworks.
-Did you have any special celebrations or meals?
So we celebrate the usual christmas new year
-What was your favorite part of the holiday?
Meeting my friend at the resort it was nice two years and she has barely changed. We went swimming ate cool food tried to make her dance it was just good.

ReplyDeleteOn my winter holidays i've spent a lot of my time with my family, as usual we have celebrated new year together with my family and siblings. and we went skiing to the Shymbulak.We were skiing just for 3 days, but it was awesome! I realy like winter because you can play snowballs,went skiing and skating and plus you can do a snowman.
